v2 David can't let go of the idea to build the temple. His passion for the project is clear. He wants his service to the Lord to continue.
v5 Acknowledges that Solomon was chosen by God.
v7 God's covenant with Solomon and his descendants.
v9 An amazing verse to pass down to our children.
"...Know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever."
If you seek Him, He will let you find Him! Thank you, LORD!
v19 All the credit to God.
v20 "Be strong and courageous and act; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God, my God, is with you."
v1 More insight into God's decision to not let David build the temple. It is not for man, but for the Lord God.
v3 David gives more than the Lord required--an abundant offering poured out from His heart. This is how I strive to give.
v6-9 The people follow David's example of generosity.
"Then the people rejoiced." It feels so good to give freely to the Lord and His purposes!
