I hope you are enjoying family time, rest, and reflection on our Savior. Merry Christmas, friends!
We took some time to actually string popcorn this year. It was so fun and easy! Two tips for stringing your own: let the popcorn get stale for 25 hours to keep it from crumbling. And don't cut the thread from the spool or tie a knot until you are finished with the entire garland. That way you can keep unwinding more as you go!
We don't get a ton of cold weather here in North Texas, but when we do, we make a big deal out of hot chocolate.

I kinda have a thing for gift wrap. Maybe it's an addiction. Like a 100+ rolls kind of addiction...but I have a pretty great way of thinning out my collection--which I hope to share with you soon.
Sometimes we coordinate our kids with the gift wrap.
(This photo was 100% staged! They'd spent the night at grandma's and were there when Donnie and I arrived. I made them go out and come back in to get this shot. Real talk. Real (crazy person) talk.
Donnie and I made it back to our tree. The oldest tree in Dallas. The place where our family began. It's so old that preservationists have attached dozens of cables to hold it together. I know it won't be around forever, so these Christmas-season visits are precious. You can read more about our tree here.
May your days be Merry and Bright!
