My name is Anna, and I'm the girl behind the blog, here at Lasso the Moon.
I started this blog 8 years ago not knowing what I wanted to write about or who I really was--just that I needed a way to mark time. I was starting to get bogged down in the details of life--laundry, dishes, meal prep, diapers--and needed a way to preserve some sense of who I was under the pile of duties I'd acquired.
Since that first post, this blog has become much more than just marking time. It has given me an outlet for figuring things out--whether it be parenting, cooking, relationships, or God's grace. I now strive to live my life with purpose and creativity, and the blog has helped me stay on that track, pushing me to become a better writer in the process. There is a saying that writers write, because they don't know what they think until they read what they wrote, and that is so true with me, too!
