The big calendar I made at the beginning of the school year is taking a hit this week. We have gotten almost nothing done. Because this is what you do in Dallas when "snow" hits.
The first day was pure ice. The streets were coated in it, so we pulled out our trusty sled and some cargo straps and ran through the streets, pulling the kids behind us. This attracted the attention of our neighbors (we were screaming like idiots), and soon we were taking turns dragging our friends around...kids AND adults.
And then today we woke up to giant gobs of slush falling from the sky. The perfect consistency for rolling snowballs and snowmen.
It might have taken every flake of snow from the yard (and the neighbors), but we are proud of our leaf-and-snow people.
(The one one the right got decapitated by Eli only moments before the picture.)
Who needs a ski trip?
