This is part 15 of our series: 31 DAYS of Setting Up Shop! You can find the entire list of days, in order, on our Setting Up Shop Index Page. I'll add each new entry to this list as it is published.

Here we are, half way through our 31-day series, and today I came across some setbacks. Do you ever have one of those days where as hard as you try, everything goes wrong? As you saw yesterday, I wanted to put up a sign in the window so that I could generate some interest in the town square.
So I drew up our Gathered logo on a big piece of white paper, and drove across town in the pouring rain, got my 4 kids out of the car in the pouring rain, went inside to hang up my sign, and realized I didn't have tape that would hold up the paper.
This is only the smallest thing that went wrong yesterday in my shop setting-up tasks. There is also a (nasty) plumbing issue being resolved, but that is too boring and icky to even go into right now.
What do you do when you have a day where you just can't win? I like to call a do-over. I piled the kids back up in the car, drove through for soft serve ice cream, and headed back home. I have noticed that when you push and push on a no-win day, it tends to push back even harder. So take a deep breath, have some ice cream, and look forward to tomorrow. It's a new day. And hopefully a winner!
