This is part 11 of our series: 31 DAYS of Setting Up Shop! You can find the entire list of days, in order, on our Setting Up Shop Index Page. I'll add each new entry to this list as it is published.
{branding with texture}
This, the last of the posts I'll be doing on branding, was by far the easiest to pinpoint.
When it comes to what I use in my home, what catches my eye when I'm out, and which materials I use in my work, I know exactly what says, "me."
I love rough, raw, unfinished edges, chipped, worn paint, aged paper, unpolished metal, and natural texture-rich materials. But I like to pair these textures with clean lines, layered neutrals, and excellent finishing techniques.
I don't think I need to say much more about this, but here are a few pics of my favorite textures--many of which will be making it to the shop in November.
Rolled, aged paper.
Stacks of rough twine balls.
Old books, stripped of their covers.
Metal clips with a past.
For the shop, I am working on lots of handmade designs with the texture, color, and materials from my brand. And I'm also gathering lots of vintage items to work with the handmade.
I cannot wait for you to see it. Have you been to our Gathered page yet? We are starting to preview some product this week.
So excited!!
