**edit!** Extending the giveaway to Wednesday 8/31. Get those comments in! And don't forget to leave another one if you follow twitter, facbook, or subscribe to my feed.**
Green bags are a product I started making about a year ago--right before I went to the Dallas Flea handmade market. They were so popular at the show, I knew they would do well in the shops, too.
Now I want to spread a little green bag joy to my loyal readers, who may not have had a chance to try them out yet.
These little bags are made from reclaimed sheets and other vintage fabrics. They are lightweight, versatile, and pretty cute, too.
The finished size is about 5x7 inches, and the drawstring is 100% cotton.
Would you like a chance to win a set of twelve? It's pretty easy. All you have to do is leave a comment telling me how you would use them if you won.
You can have one entry per person just for giving me your idea. Want another chance? I'll give my facebook fans, twitter followers, and blog subscribers a bonus try--just leave an extra comment for each. (Even if you just joined today!)
I'll close comments and pick the winner (random drawing) on MONDAY, so hurry up and get thinking. And come back Tuesday to see who the lucky winner is. Have fun!
Anna

i met a friend for lunch the other day.
there is a new restaurant in town that we've been dying to try.
we looked over the menu.
"what are you having?"
hmm. everything looks so good.
"I think I'll have the soop."
"with carit juice to drink."
these indie restaurants are so hip with their artsy menus.
the staff was friendly--took our order right away.
and served within minutes.
the portions were huge.
my friend was worried she wouldn't be able to finish.
so she sent it back for something else.
we were afraid we'd caused too much hassle, but they were so nice!
we'll definitely be going back!

Ethan, reading his Jesus Storybook Bible to Emma:
This is Jonah when they threw him in the lion's den.
God said, "Don't eat that! Don't eat that guy!"
This is Jesus about to get on the cross. *sniff sniff*
And this is the crown...the crown of...poison.
This is where Jesus blasts off into the sky.
He's reading this:
which you can get here :
We really like this one, because at the end of every story, the author ties in the promise of the Messiah, and points the reader to Christ. Makes me tear up every time! This would be a great gift for the little ones in your life. Even if they don't get the stories quite right the first time through.

The transition from two kids to three kids has been the smoothest yet. Even easier than the transition from single to married, I think.
One of the biggest reasons for this is Emma. At six, she is embracing the role of big sister with everything she has.
She adores her baby Ess.
It's written all over her face.

I just got back from a get-away with Donnie and the kids. I was thinking before we left town of how much Donnie deserved a little time off. And how much the kids deserved some uninterrupted time with their daddy. That made me wonder how much time we'd spent at home without him this year. I easily counted 5 solid weeks that he'd been out of town, and that's when I stopped counting. I don't need to know the number--I just know we had this vacation coming. And we soaked in every minute of it.
We went down to Galveston because Emma requested somewhere with a beach. We don't usually let the kids dictate our destinations, but this was also a reward for Emma's performance in school last year.
Each day the kindergartners were sent home with a behavior report in the form of a color--green happy face for a good day, yellow face for a day with some issues, and a red frown for a bad day. My little girl went an entire school year with green happy faces every single day. That is no small feat, and we were happy to reward her for it.
More pictures of our fun time coming tomorrow.
