Wake-Up Call
I'm feeling some pressure and extreme obligation
To finish this laundry without hesitation,
But never have I seen in all of creation
A pile this large, that brings this much frustration.
I wish one could offer me some explanation,
Of how a family of such small population,
After only a week of extreme relaxation,
Could produce enough laundry to cause trepidation.
Well, this poem has been enough procrastination,
So I'll tackle the hamper with determination,
And try to resist the overwhelming temptation
To envision myself on our next big vacation.
